Electronic Component Sourcing for PCB Assembly

REGULUS provides electronic component sourcing and purchasing support for PCB Assembly projects. Depending on the project scope, we can source active components, passive components, connectors, and other BOM items required for PCBA manufacturing.

Before purchasing begins, we review your BOM, sourcing responsibility, required quantities, approved alternates when available, and production schedule. This helps identify material constraints and clarify the sourcing scope before components are ordered.

Component Sourcing Scope for PCBA Projects

For PCBA projects that include component sourcing, we define the purchasing scope with your team before procurement begins. We confirm which BOM items are included in REGULUS sourcing, which items will be supplied by your team if applicable and agreed for the project, and whether approved alternates are available.

Once the responsibility is defined, we coordinate purchasing for the components included in the agreed sourcing scope and align material preparation with the planned production stage.

BOM Review and Supply Planning

We review the BOM and current supply conditions for the components within our sourcing scope. The review can include:

  • Manufacturer part numbers and required quantities

  • Availability, MOQ, and lead time

  • Packaging conditions

  • Approved alternates when available

If we identify material conditions that may affect cost, material readiness, or the production schedule, we clarify them with your team before purchasing. Material planning is then aligned with the applicable prototype, NPI, low-volume, or mass-production requirements.

Component Traceability and Procurement Documentation

For components sourced by REGULUS, traceability and procurement documentation can be provided when required by your project. Depending on the component and source of supply, available information may include:

  • Manufacturer / Part Number

  • Lot / Date Code

  • Received Quantity

  • Source of Supply

  • Certificates / Compliance Documentation

If specific traceability or documentation is required, please identify the requirement before purchasing so we can confirm what information is available from the applicable manufacturer, distributor, or supplier.

Component Brands and Sourcing Availability

The following are examples of active and passive component brands that may be included in project BOMs. Actual sourcing is based on your approved part numbers, current availability, project requirements, and agreed sourcing scope rather than a fixed brand list.
