Sheet Metal Fabrication
Sheet metal fabrication ─ is an integrated cold work technology (normally thickness under 6mm), suit for sheet metal processing, including shear, wash, cut, bending, welding, riveting, jointing, molding.
Process:
■ Laser cutting
■ NCT punching
■ Bending
■ Automatic ARC welding
Feature:
Sheet metal parts can have very sharp edges so designing fillets of ½ the material’s thickness for corners will greatly reduce risk of injury.
Another main focus of sheet metal fabrication is welding. After the sheet metal parts are formed, they are assembled and tack welded into place. Various welding techniques can be used in sheet metal fabrication to avoid warping or other visual defects.
Material:
■ Cold-rolled sheet (SPCC)
■ Hot rolled plate (SHCC, SPHC)
■ Galvanized sheet (SECC, SGCC)
■ Brass
■ Copper
■ Beryllium copper
■ Aluminum plate (AL1104, AL2024, AL3003, AL5052, AL6061, AL7075)
■ Stainless steel (SUS301, SUS303, SUS304, SUS3016, SUS410)
■ Carbon Steel
■ Ceramic
